Who writes for the Knowledge Hub
Articles are written by verified healthcare professionals. Before anyone can publish, our team checks their professional registration.
News posts are written by the Jarurat Care Foundation team and carry the byline JCF Team.
How articles are reviewed
Every article is checked by at least one medical reviewer who is not one of its authors. The reviewer approves the exact version that is published.
An editor from our team approves each article before it is published.
The timeline on each article shows when it was submitted, reviewed and published.
What every article shows
- The author and their credential.
- The medical reviewer.
- When it was published, and when it was last updated.
- The references it relies on.
- The authors' disclosures, such as conflicts of interest and funding.
- A medical disclaimer.
References and evidence
Claims about diagnosis or treatment must be supported by a numbered reference. We ask authors to use current clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed sources.
An article cannot be submitted without at least one reference that has a link, a DOI or a PubMed ID.
Conflicts of interest
Authors state any conflict of interest when they submit an article, and it is published under Disclosures. Reviewers declare any conflict before they accept a review.
No content may promote a product, a brand, a hospital or a paid service.
Images
Every image has a text description for people who use screen readers, and its source is credited.
No image may show an identifiable patient, a patient document, or a scan or record with identifying details.
